Money Re-Permissioning

A grounded exercise for receiving, holding, and circulating money without violating your values.

Jump to Notes

Purpose: To consciously re-grant permission to receive, hold, and circulate money without violating personal ethics, spirituality, or identity.

This is not about “abundance.” It’s about alignment and consent.

Private reflection: You do not have to share anything you write or feel during this exercise.

PART 1 — Name the Old Contract (2–3 minutes)

Everyone silently completes these sentences (no sharing required):

  • “I was taught (directly or indirectly) that money…”
  • “Because of this, I learned to…”

This step removes shame. You didn’t choose this contract — you inherited it.

Private reflection: Keep this for yourself unless you choose to share.

PART 2 — Identify the Protection (Key Insight)

Complete:

  • “This money behavior has been protecting me from…”

Important: The blockage is not the enemy — it’s a guardian. We thank it, not fight it.

PART 3 — Conscious Re-Permission (The Core Moment)

Read slowly. Pause between lines.

“I acknowledge that my relationship with money was formed under different conditions.”

“I am no longer a child, a student, or surviving without choice.”

“I now give myself permission to receive money in ways that do not harm my values, my health, or my relationships.”

“I do not need to become someone else to be supported.”

“Money is allowed to support me while I build what matters.”

PART 4 — Define Bounded Permission (Very Important)

Complete:

  • “I am willing to receive money as long as…”

Examples (bullet list):

  • it aligns with my ethics
  • it helps others
  • it supports my family
  • it’s transparent
  • it doesn’t require lying
  • it doesn’t destroy my body

Note: Unlimited permission can feel threatening. Bounded permission feels trustworthy.

PART 5 — Embodiment Check (30 seconds)

Ask the body, not the mind:

  • “What amount of money currently feels safe to receive per month?”

That number is your current nervous-system ceiling. Growth happens by gradually expanding the ceiling, not smashing it.

PART 6 — Collective Version (for groups / 3DVR)

Read aloud together:

“We reject the belief that money and integrity are opposites.”

“We allow money to circulate as a tool for coordination, care, and creation.”

“We choose transparency over extraction.”

“We choose sustainability over burnout.”

“We choose slow, aligned growth over false urgency.”

PART 7 — Integration (The Only Action Step)

Answer:

  • “One small, ethical, non-dramatic way I can allow money to support me this month is…”

Examples (bullet list):

  • raising a price slightly
  • keeping a subscription open
  • asking once instead of hinting
  • receiving help without apologizing
  • not immediately giving money away
  • charging for something I already do
